My child is getting fat! What can I do?

My child is getting fat! What can I do?

My child is getting fat! What can I do?

More and more parents are facing with the fact, that the child getting fat.
Children with obesity suffer a number of physical and perceived physical barriers to living an active lifestyle, which can perpetuate a cycle of inactivity and poor health. Some of these include asthma, joint pain and increased musculoskeletal stress, and feeling "too overweight to do physical activity."

What can You do to make your child healthy?

What causes childhood obesity?
We all know that life has changed and so did the foods. Even if you think you don’t give too much sugar, you actually do. Starting with the healthy yogurts, bread, biscuits, even the daily milk contains added sugar. And then children love sweets, and treats.

The childhood obesity is more common than ever. Parents have to face with the fact, that in order to get healthy children, who will become healthy adults, they have to change the food, the lifestyle. I know it is much easier to pick up the fast food or a bag of donuts.

NO! Please you will determine his/her future with the eating habits you build up with him.
Count the calories, give more healthy drinks.

There are more ways for children with obesity to lose weight.

Tips you can help your child to lose weight:

  • No fruit juices (they are mostly sugar)
  • Increase fiber and protein intake which includes only whole wheat breads
  • No white breads. Do not buy white breads at all.
  • Go for fruits. Stock your kitchen with snack-sized bags of fruits and veggies instead of pretzels and Pringles
  • Limit sweets to only 3 (at most) per week
  • Get your child active for a minimum of 1 hour. The average kid sits in front of the TV about 24 hours a week. Girls who watch more than 2.5 hours a day are more than twice as likely to be overweight than those who watch less than 2 hours.
You still can give chocolate or cakes occasionally, but not every day!

I know this works because my 8 year old son has lost almost 20 pounds in less than 6 months. He also looks and feels healthier as a result of this.
